The hiring rates for security officer jobs have never dropped. -Overseeing emergency contingency plan drills and instructs employees on violence prevention and security guidelines.

-Write reports, records keeping and screen visitors asking for credentials and purpose.

The qualifications of getting security officer jobs are less robust than you think although it would be to you advantage if you are an ex military or ex police officer. You need to have at least a high school diploma and complete security training. You should be “clean” for the last 10 years as your prospect employer will be checking you out for drug abuse and criminal records. Furthermore you should:

-Have an ample knowledge about information technology – widespread use of computers nowadays making Information Technology know how a must in all job applicants and security officer jobs is no exception.

-Have knowledge of communicating with the local police department and other law enforcement agencies and the laws related to your jobs scope.

-Have experience in auditing, documents, business resumption plan, recovery, and risk management.

Security guards officers are directly hired by the companies such as manufacturing, information technology, distribution, private homes, parks, movie houses, offices, banks, as a VIP security officer, restaurants, bars, tour, and recreational parks. Other security force could be provided by security companies that provided security officers for all the clients’ business facilities and branches elsewhere including the headquarters. With or without experience, security officer jobs have a median income of about $25, 000 to $35,000 annually. Usually, with much experience, a security officer can be accelerated by being a security head, supervisor, or director.
