Lead Security Officer
SUMMARYAssist the Security Shift Supervisor in the supervision of the boat and land security operations to maintain a safe and secure environment for patrons and employees of the Belle of Baton Rouge. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Respond to all incidents or emergency situations. Observation of patrons and employees, and ensure that company policies and state gaming laws are followed. Provide assistance to customers; answer questions, handle complaints, etc. Assist in the supervision of security officers: assign security officers to work areas, observe tasks to ensure that procedures are followed, conduct performance evaluations, take disciplinary actions, and disseminate department information. Ensure prompt completion and forwarding of all incident reports, shift reports, etc. Provide security for monetary transfers, fills, credits and escorts. Testify in court in behalf of the company as needed. Function as the Security Shift Supervisor when that individual is not available. Comply with all Internal Controls and Company and departmental policies and procedures and safety regulations. Must follow the Thoughtful Service model at all times. Performs other duties as assigned by managementAccess to the following sensitive areas: Stored drop boxes / carts; Security shall not have access to the contents of the stored drop boxes. Drop boxes on table, during table drop. Access doors: Vault, Count Room, Cart Storage, Card & Dice Room, other sensitive areas as approved by the Division. Keys Boxes as per Key List. Card and Dice Destruction Room.Signature Authority Witness transactions. Table Fills / Credits / Markers / Progressive Jackpot Payout slips, Jackpots, Entry Logs and Key LogsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES NoneQUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must qualify for a Louisiana Riverboat Gaming Permit.LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of PUTER SKILLSWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
