In this position, you would perform manual and clerical supply chain functions for a water utility project, MRO (maintenance repair operation) warehouse. Duties which are rotated consist of operating up to a 5-ton flatbed truck with mounted forklift and delivering maintenance items to remote sites. You would operate a 500 gallon 4WD propane truck on steep rocky mountain roads to fill propane tanks, operate forklifts, overhead cranes and other material handling equipment. You would also perform shipping and receiving functions involving detailed inspections of machined, fabricated and purchased material, including high dollar technology equipment; identify and tag accountable property and documents discrepancies; follow pick ticket and work order instructions to ascertain materials destinations; stores, issue and deliver property locally or over the road (following DOT regulations). Accurately documents transactions into appropriate MMS, financial and document management systems. Much of these responsibilities are carried out independently and require some overnight in-state travel.
To be a successful candidate for this opening, you should have a high school diploma (or GED); three (3) years of experience in warehouse methods and techniques; the ability to safely operate heavy trucks over 25,000 pounds (GVW), forklifts 3,000 to 15,000 pounds, light trucks ½ ton to 1 ½ ton and general warehouse material handling equipment; as well as the ability to use computer software programs, including enterprise asset management, financial, document management and Microsoft Office Suites. Additionally, if you have a Class B commercial driver's license with a Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsement; a forklift certification; and/or knowledge of basic overhead crane and hoist hand signals; then we highly encourage you to apply for this position.
Please note: A Class B commercial driver's license with a Hazardous Materials endorsement is required within six (6) months of hire date. A tanker endorsement is required within one (1) year of hire date. This is a safety-sensitive position and requires physical testing.
