About the role:
The Security Manager manages the regional security program to align with it corporate objectives and address all aspects of security for the organization's regional businesses, including investigations, administrative security, physical security, personnel security, security education and training, contingency planning, crisis management, emergency preparedness and executive personal protection.
Your responsibilities include:
*Assist with the development and execution of the regional security plan that assesses current threats and vulnerabilities, identifies protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with corporate strategic objectives, and details the efficient and cost-effective utilization of security resources. *Develop policies, objectives, budgets, plans, procedures and schedules for the region, conduct quality control audits and evaluate work standards and performance levels ensuring uniformity, effectiveness and appropriate staffing levels. *Develop training programs and conduct training exercises to ensure organizational preparedness for a security-related incident and to raise employee awareness. *Manage security team, consisting of internal security personnel and/or the 3rd party security officer and vendors, as appropriate. *Assist where needed in coordinating cross functional efforts with Real Estate and Facilities, Legal, Human Resources, Privacy & Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Finance (Sarbanes/Oxley), Senior Enterprise Management and Information Technology to provide thorough analysis of security risks and development of appropriate mitigating strategies. *Maintain professional relationships with local, state and federal agencies. *Assist in stabilizing compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and be knowledgeable of current trends in the security industry. *Implement corporate investigations initiative which aligns partners, describes process and procedure and identifies corporate goals in the conduct of an investigation. *Support the global business continuity plan. *Establish, document, and monitor project metrics to measure productivity and ensure key objectives are met. *Ensures that departmental policies and procedures are followed and are in compliance with corporate policies and procedures. *Ensures security activities comply with applicable regulations and company policies. *Assists manager in establishing department goals. *Other duties that may be assigned in support of security.
What we're looking for:
*Bachelor's degree, Criminal Justice or related field is preferred *Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility in a private sector multi-national corporate security organization or related public sector experience *Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project
*Business continuity and/or emergency management certifications *Exceptional team-building skills, collaborative and process-management skills *Excellent oral and written communication skills *Effective project management, critical thinking, and judgment/decision making skills *Unquestioned personal and business integrity *Team player with a track record of successful collaboration with key business in a fast paced and challenging matrixed environment *Strong investigative experience, skills and certifications *Threat management experience, skills and certifications *Technical proficiency with multiple technology platforms including, but not limited to, S2, Lenel, Milestone, CCTV camera systems, NVR, DVR *Must have the technical ability to trouble-shoot and quickly/successfully resolve system issues via familiarity with network configurations, network protocols, databases, etc.
