We are one of the region’s largest health systems and employers and have been serving as part of Ascension since 1999.\rJob Description Job Summary:\rProvides security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.\r\rResponsibilities:\r\rPerforms proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.\rInvestigates, documents and manages security incidents and hazards.\rMaintains knowledge/follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations.\rProvides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.\rAccording to prescribed procedures, physical management and intervention with violent individuals and de-escalation of potentially violent individuals. Patrol various areas of the Medical Center facilities and grounds, and acts to deter loss of Medical Center, employee and patient and visitor property by intercepting unauthorized individuals and investigating unusual incidents. Monitors Medical Center CCTV, fires alarm and alarm panels.\rAnalytical skills necessary to in order to inspect Medical Center areas, ensure security of all employees, staff and visitors, and prepare complex incident reports, missing property report and the like. Physical ability to walk and stand for up to 80% of work time when maintaining patrol schedules or monitoring areas.\rAbility to perform data entry, data weeding and retrieval.\rMust provide 24-hour personal escorts for patients, visitors, and employees at Borgess Medical Center.Responsible for crowd control within the Emergency and Trauma Center.\rThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
