Description Caesars Entertainmentu00a0Manager u2013 Canine (K-9)will be responsible for overseeing K-9 activity, directly assist in managing all administrative and operational functions associated with the Canine (K-9) program, monitoring security staff, and maintaining security protection which includes money transactions, public relations, assisting guests/customers and Team Members as needed, and maintaining order in the exterior areas of the hotel as well as the interior areas to patrol the exterior portions of the property. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: u00b7Ensures all Caesars Entertainment core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.u00a0 u00b7Participates in short-and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness; effects changes required for improvement. Identifies key drivers of success. u00b7Actively contributes to the departmental performance, and the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental policies and procedures; records and reports. u00b7Verifies that all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and controls property wide are enforced within the department. u00b7Delivers and maintains a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction.u00a0 u00b7Contributes to company-wide communication and best practices. u00b7Assists in providing training opportunities for team members. u00b7Keeps informed of all new developments within the department. u00b7Effectively manages internal and external guest relations, which may require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy. Responsible for addressing guest and team member issues as appropriate.u00a0 u00b7Manages multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations. u00b7Must have the ability to promote positive, fair, and ethical relations with all team members, with all Caesars Entertainment contractors, and in all interactions within the Host and Surrounding Communities, as an ambassador of the Caesars brand. u00b7Identifies, selects, cross trains and certifies those Security Officers who will be K-9 Handlers in both BB and explosive detection. This will involve working closely with H/R to identify those current team members or external applicants who bring a skill set to the unit and can operate in a team environment. u00b7Identifies 24/7 coverage through a 5/8 or 4/10 schedule that best suits the operational needs of the company. u00b7Identifies and implements the best schedule for feeding the canines. u00b7Identifies protocols for retiring existing canines and memorialize this in policy. u00b7Creates all K-9 Handlers policy, protocol and administrative functions of the K-9 Unit. u00b7Coordinates and assists with the training that will be done by a u201cqualified traineru201d who will supervise scenario based training and all problem solving. u00b7Ensures the Canine (K-9) program complies with all applicable regulations and certifications associated with detection, including a yearly certification through ELITE Tactical K-9. u00b7Works with safety as a priority, and follows department and company safety standards. u00b7Maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training. u00b7Performs any other job-related duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS:u00a0 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily. Will be required to obtain and maintain gaming registration and a K-9 license issued by the Nevada Private Investigations Board. Education and/or Experience:u00a0 High school or equivalent degree required. Bacheloru2019s degree in criminal justice, or a closely related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in animal care, certified Detection Dog handler or equivalent experience preferred. Requires general computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail. Knowledge of union as well as non-union working environments preferred. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English required, second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations. Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability: Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request. When on the casino floor or some back of house areas, the noise level increases to loud. Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner. u00b7Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team Members must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. u00b7Team members are expected to work outside and is subject to all weather conditions. Operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, humidity, precipitation, wind, noise, and vibration. Work may be performed in and or around electrically or mechanically energized equipment. Required to work in elevated places on ladders, lifts, catwalks, and staging inside and outside of the building.
