Summary:
TheSenior Site/Shift Supervisor, supports the MDA Security and Emergency Management Directorate (DSS) in managing Security Operations Services at MDA facilities at various locations in the United States.
The mission of the Security Operations Center (SOC) is to provide the highest level of professional security operations across the MDA enterprise supporting facilities, resources, personnel, meetings, missions, and conferences both nationally and internationally allowing the Agency to achieve its strategic goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages and supervises management and hourly staff to ensure operations support to include: badging, common access card, visitor control center and conference events are being executed in full compliance with contract requirements.
Produces and reviews technical documents to provide recommendations to improve security methods, performance, or efficiency.
Oversees in-coming/out-going Visit Authorization Requests (VARS).
Provide access control and circulation enforcement at multiple MDA facilities.
Supervise the issue of security credentials: Access Badges, Common Access Cards (CACs), SIPRNet Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Tokens and Courier Cards.
Provides first response & assessment of emergency situations (Red Cross first aid, Adult CPR, external defibrillator (AED) certifications).
Perform SOC support actions – monitor three separate integrated electronic security systems.
Conduct security inspections, respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies and provide assistance as required.
Maintain security situational awareness from a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities of all Security Operations Support personnel on contract.
Minimum Qualifications:
(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Minimum of a BS/BA degree in computer science or computer related fields and/or equivalent training and experience.
Eight (8) years management experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
Ten (10) years' experience in security or law enforcement administration and substantial operations experience in the armed forces, security, police, or civilian equivalent or related field, eight (8) of which is at the supervisory level.
Eight (8) years of progressively responsible general experience gained in analytical decision making and administrative work and activities at the executive management level.
Eight (8) years of specialized experience directly related to the work performed in access control, badging or common access cards.
Successfully completed all training and have obtained all required permits, licenses, certifications and security/medical clearances for the site.
Have no felony convictions and no convictions that reflect on the individual's reliability including those crimes classified under the Lautenberg Act.
Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
