Requisition Number: 3391 Job Description: Position Summary: Person in this position will be responsible for the counseling and case management of clients enrolled in the Outpatient Program. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Essential Job Functions: u2022Deliver individual and group counseling services, case management services, education and community outreach services, and referrals to appropriate services and community resources; u2022Oversee and provide intake and program orientation for the client and family members including, but not limited to, assessment of psychological and social functioning and the development, implementation and ongoing review of the clientsu2019 Individual Treatment Plans. u2022Participation in facilitating ancillary services, i.e. family support groups, family education groups, continuing care, networking with community agencies, developing and updating referral and resource information, etc.; u2022Maintenance of individual client treatment files in accordance with agency policies and procedures, including documentation of vocational/educational activities as well as all other pertinent documentation; u2022General client supervision including planning and scheduling therapeutic activities; u2022Preparation of client progress reports, when necessary; u2022Interaction with the criminal justice system and/or referral sources, when necessary; u2022Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; and u2022Perform any other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications: u2022Experience consisting of two (2) years of providing direct substance abuse counseling services in an outpatient setting; u2022Certification in drug and alcohol counseling at the time of hire is required; and u2022CPR Certification, First Aid Certification and an Annual Tuberculosis test. Education: u2022Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or a related field is preferred; u2022A minimum of two (2) years of college coursework is required, although one year may be substituted with equivalent work experience.
