Official Title of Position: Criminal Justice Instructor/Program Coordinator
Salary: $3,634/month (10 month assignment period paid over 12 months)

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Effectively teach and coordinate criminal justice courses and serve as the program coordinator.
Responsible for program effectiveness, including student learning outcomes, continuous review, assessment, and development.
Create and actively engage all areas of the criminal justice sector’s academic initiatives to include any credential audits and apprenticeship relationships within the community.
Select and approve appropriate practicum sites, provide orientation for the on-site supervisors, and continual oversight of the practicum experience.
Develop strategic plan for improving the criminal justice program to include scheduling, recruitment efforts to draw students into the criminal justice program offerings, advising, and advisory board effectiveness.
Maintain community relations within the service area, and oversee an active advisory council.
Participate in academic and student enhancement activities, including student advising.
Maintain and improve, through professional development, competence in discipline knowledge and instructional techniques.
Participate in internal and external service activities (college committees, system committees, community relations).
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Master’s degree in criminal justice, or master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in criminal justice.
Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction, student learning, and instructional and institutional effectiveness.
Demonstrated effective technology skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and organizational and human relations skills.
Demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive community college concept and team management.
Demonstrated commitment to the KCTCS/Hopkinsville Community College strategic plan.
