Requisition Number: 3107 Job Description: 2395 Position Summary: Person in this position will be responsible for general client supervision and general program operation. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Essential Job Functions: u2022Provide on-site after hours supervision; u2022Serve as a facility manager during shift hours; u2022Oversee all program and facility operations during evening and overnight hours u2022Maintain daily log of evening activities and incidents; u2022Respond to after hours emergencies, contact medical, psychiatric or custody staff if necessary; u2022Maintain safety and security of facility u2022Answer phones; u2022Ensure that residents comply with program rules; u2022Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility; u2022Participate in daily shift change including documenting in facility log at the end of the shift and thoroughly reviewing the log at the beginning of the shift; u2022Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; and u2022Perform all other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications: u2022Two (2) years experience providing substance abuse counseling to recovering addicts in a licensed substance abuse treatment program u2022A valid certification in a State of California approved program in drug and alcohol counseling is preferred; u2022Must be in possession of a valid California Driveru2019s License and be eligible for WestCare vehicle insurance; u2022Must be able to pass a criminal history background screening and receive clearance from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation; and u2022CPR Certification, First Aid Certification and an annual Tuberculosis test. Education: u2022Associates Degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or a related field is preferred; and u2022High school diploma or equivalent is required. Working Conditions: u2022Work is primarily performed in an office or in a residential treatment setting; and u2022Some outdoor activities may be required. Physical Demands: u2022The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, BUT exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be readily available to every employee engaged in Category II tasks; u2022Occasional lifting of more than 10 pounds; u2022Transportation of clients in company vehicle; u2022Occasional risk of intensive physical activity with clients; and u2022Sitting, standing, walking, reaching are performed in the normal course of the position.
